Recently a fundraising event held at a local Zoo presented a unique challenge for organizers: the event location had extremely limited cell service from any carrier. However, with the goal of providing a seamless experience for attendees and facilitating smooth event operations, a request was made for Wi-Fi connectivity.
To overcome the connectivity issue, eTech Rentals devised a comprehensive solution. We deployed our eBond system, incorporating cellular connections from AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. This setup was strategically positioned in a location downhill from the event site, where there was sufficient cell service available. To further enhance the connectivity, we incorporated a satellite into the eBond system.
From the eBond location, eTech Rentals established a Point-to-Point network to transmit the internet source to the event site, which was approximately 700 feet away uphill. Leveraging this network link as the internet source, we constructed a local Wi-Fi network at the hosting location to cater to both attendees and production needs. The network was designed to accommodate up to 250 users simultaneously.
Despite the challenge of setting up the entire infrastructure on the same day as the event, our team worked diligently to ensure a flawless experience for all involved. We provided onsite support to address any potential issues promptly and efficiently, allowing the event to run smoothly without any connectivity-related interruptions.
The Wi-Fi service proved to be a valuable addition to the event, enabling attendees to stay connected and enhancing their overall experience. It facilitated seamless communication, social media sharing, and access to online resources throughout the duration of the fundraising event.
